Pre-Appointment Information
Before your appointment, there are some important things to consider and ask your artist at The Sculpt beauty Studio

-
If you're not sure which PMU brow technique is right for you, schedule a permanent makeup consultation to discuss your options and assess your brow and skin needs.

-
If you have sensitive skin or allergies, ask about the products being used and consider doing a spot test beforehand.

-
If you use certain skincare products or medications like retinol, chemical peels, Botox, or Accutane (Isotretinoin), consult with your aesthetician and do some research, as these may make your skin more sensitive and affect the results.

-
If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, you cannot have these treatments done.
Before your appointment,

-
Minimize heavy sun exposure, tanning, and Botox. Your cosmetic tattoo will not retain well if you arrive sunburnt.

On the day of your appointment,

-
Bring in photos of your brow or lash line inspiration to show your aesthetician what you want.

-
lightly exfoliate your eyebrows and surrounding skin the day before to improve pigment retention.

-
If you're getting a lash line enhancement, don't wear contacts as they can irritate your eyes.

-
avoid exercise and arrive with a makeup-free forehead.

-
For eyeliner tattooing, refrain from wearing lash extensions on the day of your appointment. It's best to wear black clothing to avoid potential pigment flicking, although the choice is yours. If you're nervous, feel free to bring headphones for comfort.

-
Please arrive on time, as we cannot accommodate late arrivals, and a deposit may be lost.
For your safety

-
avoid caffeine, alcohol, aspirin, facial waxing, brow tinting, and certain spices before your appointment.
-
Also, avoid fish oils, blood thinners, and facials for the recommended time frame.

The Combo brows, Nano brows and ombré brows cosmetic tattooing techniques create soft, natural-looking eyebrows that blend well with your skin. Your eyebrows won't look fake.
The best brow technique and shape will be determined based on evaluating your skin type, brows, and desired look. You and our Tattoo beautician will work together to perfect the shape according to your preference, ensuring symmetry and position before the actual tattooing begins.
The colour will also be chosen together by applying small amounts of different pigments near your brows to find the best match for your skin tone, features, and personal preference.

What to expect during the process:

First, we will assess your skin type and the area of your brows or lash line (depending on the service) to understand your desired outcome. Next, we'll map your brows or outline your lash line to create the ideal shape and look. To minimise discomfort, we will apply a numbing cream and an anaesthetic to the area. Now, the permanent makeup procedure begins. Afterward, we'll apply soothing cream to help with any discomfort and reduce redness. Say hello to your stunning new look!
Will it hurt?

We take every precaution to ensure the tattoo procedure application is as pain-free as possible. We use a wide range of medical-grade anaesthetics for your comfort. Some clients may feel a little discomfort during the procedure, while others report no discomfort at all. We use a combination of two anaesthetics: a topical numbing cream applied before the procedure starts and a second one that is regularly topped up during the treatment to keep you comfortable, similar to our other PMU services.
How long does it take?

Investing an hour or two of your time can result in years of beauty. The procedure is split into 2 appointments, spaced 4-8 weeks apart to allow for proper healing. The initial procedure lasts from 90 to 120 minutes, and your second appointment takes from 30 to 60 minutes.

After Care

Following your cosmetic tattoo procedure, strict aftercare for two weeks is crucial for the best results.

-
Avoid makeup,

-
Avoid Sun exposure, and wetting the area.

-
Exercise is not allowed until scabbing falls off, usually around 10 days.

-
Be patient with healing, as true results emerge around week 4-6. Each individual's skin heals differently, and variations in results are normal.

-
Ensure you're satisfied with your tattoo before leaving your touch-up appointments.
Lips

-
Expect swelling and bruising on lips for the first 24 hours. Apply ice when you get home. Lips will become dark, dry, and flaky around day 2-3.
-
Don't pick at it to prevent permanent damage and scarring. Some may need a touch-up after 4-6 weeks.

-
If you've had cold sores, take antiviral tablets before or after the procedure to prevent outbreaks. Cold sores can resurface the virus, and you may need a touch-up session after six weeks.

-
To ensure your safety and preserve the results, we recommend taking antiviral tablets (Famciclovir) prior to your appointment if you have ever had a cold sore (consult with chemist). This precautionary measure helps prevent outbreaks during the healing process, safeguarding the outcome of the procedure. Taking the tablets beforehand is a proactive approach, giving you peace of mind and protecting your beautiful results.
Eyeliner

-
Come without eye makeup or lash extensions. Choose a day with no commitments after the appointment, as eyes can be sensitive. No makeup can be applied to the area during the healing process.

We look forward to providing you with excellent service and ensuring a positive experience. If you have any questions or need clarification, don't hesitate to ask.
