FAQ

  • How is the Right Shape Determined?
Measuring techniques ensure symmetrical brows before tattooing starts. You can review and adjust the drawn shape to your liking before the process begins.
  • What if I Don't Like the Shape?
You'll have a chance to provide input and modify the pencil-drawn shape before tattooing starts. Make sure you're fully satisfied with the drawing, as changing it later may require costly removal.
  • How to Decide Between Feather Touch or Shading?
Consider your skin type before choosing. Feather touch may not be suitable for oily, acne-prone, or extremely dry/cracked skin. In such cases, ombre shading or combination brows are recommended. If unsure, send us pictures of your bare face for a recommendation.
  • Who Cannot Get a Cosmetic Tattoo?
Pregnant women People below the age of 18 Individuals with HIV/AIDS (due to infection risk) Those who have been on Accutane (must be off for 3 months) Individuals with keloid scars Anyone undergoing chemo or radiation (should wait 6 months due to compromised immune system and infection risk)
  • What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup, also known as PMU, involves implanting pigments into the skin using a hand tool or machine. It's like a tattoo that enhances your facial features, such as eyebrows or lash lines. The Advantages: Enjoy long-lasting and beautiful results. Fill in gaps and enhance your brows. Achieve a natural, effortless look. No need for daily makeup application. Feel confident with stunning brows at all times.
  • How is the Right Colour Chosen?
We have a wide range of colours to match your natural brow hair or your preferred fill-in style.
  • When to Book the 6-Week Touch-Up Session?
We recommend booking your 6-week touch-up when scheduling your initial tattoo appointment to secure your spot. Due to high demand and wait times, booking late may result in a 3-6 month touch-up charge instead.
  • Are the Pigments Harmful or Allergenic?
If you're concerned about reactions, we offer a patch test during business hours. Our pigments do not contain PPD, making them safe for those who previously reacted to brow tinting or henna.
  • Is a Deposit Required?
Yes, a 50% deposit is necessary to secure an appointment. All bookings must be made online or in-store, and payments are non-refundable to avoid no-show risks.
  • How Long Do Tattoos Last?
Feather touch brows last 6-18 months, while lip tattoos can last 2-7 years, depending on skin type and care. Eyeliner is permanent but may require black color refresh every 5 years.
  • Any Pre-Appointment Advice?
Please refer to our Pre-Appointment/Aftercare page for detailed instructions.
  • Can You Get a Lip Tattoo with a Cold Sore Virus?
If you've had a cold sore, you'll need over-the-counter medication before the tattoo appointment to prevent an outbreak. The trauma from lip tattooing can trigger cold sores, impacting healing and color retention.
  • Is it possible for me to schedule my trial first and then provide the deposit for my wedding at a later date?
I completely understand your nervousness. However, due to high demand, we cannot hold your date after the trial without a deposit. During prime wedding season, I receive 3-5 inquiries for each wedding date, so I strongly advise deciding on the day of the trial to secure your booking with me. This way, you can ensure you have a spot reserved and won't miss out on the date you desire.
  • Will my makeup last all night? What if I cry or sweat?
Absolutely Yes! Your makeup will last throughout the entire event. I ensure a professional application by preparing your eyes and skin with proper skincare and priming products. Additionally, I use professional powders and sprays that seal and set the makeup in place. All the products used are selected for their longevity and high performance, ensuring that your makeup stays flawless even in tearful moments or challenging weather conditions. You can enjoy your special occasion with confidence, knowing that your makeup will look stunning all night long.
  • Will I be your only event on the day of my wedding?
As I have many clients, there might be other appointments on your wedding day. If you have already booked and paid the deposit, I will be personally there for your trial run and on the wedding day. But if I am already booked on that day, I will inform you beforehand and arrange for my skilled team of bridal artists to take care of you.
  • Do you require a deposit?
Absolutely! To secure your wedding date, a 20% deposit of the total bill and a signed contract are required. This deposit is due on the date of your trial or when you're ready to book, and it will be deducted from your final invoice.
  • How soon in advanced should I book my makeup services?
It is recommended to book your makeup services as early as possible. I start taking bookings up to a year and a half in advance, so the sooner you secure your appointment, the better! This allows for better planning and ensures that your desired date and time are available for you.
  • Can you accommodate large wedding parties?
We have a team of skilled and certified stylists, which means we can accommodate larger groups and make your experience with your favorite friends even more enjoyable! Each artist has their own special skills and secrets when it comes to styling. We take pride in creating a wide range of unique and personalized styles for every client who visits our salon. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we're dedicated to making you look and feel amazing!
  • How will the Hair & Makeup schedule be organised on the day of my event, and what preparations should I make in advance?
On the day of your event, there won't be specific time slots for hair and makeup. Instead, there will be a set start time based on the number of services required and the arrival time of the photographer for "getting ready" photos. If you have multiple people in your bridal party receiving services, everyone should arrive at the same start time with washed and dried hair one or two days before the event for styling and a fresh clean face for makeup. We avoid time slots because each person's hair type and desired style are unique, and having everyone present at the start time ensures a smooth and efficient process for everyone involved.
  • How far do you travel?
I'm more than willing to travel as far as necessary! The travel fee will vary depending on the location and distance. Rest assured, I am committed to accommodating your needs and providing my services wherever you require
  • How Long Does a Brow Lamination Last?
A brow lamination typically lasts about 6 weeks, depending on aftercare. Follow the "Don'ts" mentioned above in the first 24 hours after your treatment to prolong the results. In the 48 hours following the treatment, you can apply a hydrating balm or castor oil to your brows daily. Additionally, brush your brows in an upright position after showers to maintain their new shape.
  • Why Can't I Get My Brows Wet After a Lamination?
Similar to a lash lift, it is crucial to keep your brows dry in the 24 hours following the lamination treatment. The creams and permanent gel used during the process relax and shape your brows. Wetting them too soon after the application can interfere with the setting of their new shape.
  • How to Prep for a Brow Lamination:
Before your brow lamination appointment, follow these steps: Avoid using exfoliants, retinoids, or AHAs on your face for one to two weeks prior. Refrain from tweezing at least one week before your appointment (brow waxing can be added as an option). Come to your appointment with a clean face, free from any makeup. Brow Lamination "Don'ts" in the First 24 Hours after Treatment: Don't get your eyebrows wet (avoid showering and bathing). Avoid saunas. Don't use oil-based products. Refrain from applying heavy creams, makeup, or makeup remover to your brows. Avoid sleeping directly on your brows (this can be challenging for stomach sleepers).
  • What is a Brow Lamination?
Brow lamination is a popular beauty treatment that enhances and thickens your natural brows. It involves applying a setting lotion to give the brows a semi-permanent lifted and brushed-up look. Whether you have thin or over-plucked eyebrows, brow lamination offers an effortless solution for achieving your desired everyday look.
  • How to prepare for lash lift?
Before your treatment, ensure your eyes are free of makeup, mascara, and false eyelashes. If you use Latisse or another lash serum, stop product use 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before treatment.
  • What's the reason for not getting my eyelashes wet after a lash lift?
To maintain the lift's effectiveness, it's essential to avoid any moisture for at least 24 hours after the treatment. During this time, the lashes are readjusting to their normal pH level, and water or mascara could cause them to lose their curl. It's similar to how you wouldn't want your hair to get wet right after leaving the salon, as it could ruin the styled shape.
  • How long does a lash lift last?
The effects of a lash lift typically last around 6-8 weeks, and sometimes even longer, depending on how well you take care of them. Make sure to follow the aftercare instructions during the first 24 hours after the treatment, and after showering, brush your lashes in an upright position to preserve their shape.
  • What is a lash lift?
A lash lift is a procedure that uses your natural lashes to create a semi-permanent curl lasting 6-8 weeks. We use a technique with a lifting lotion and silicone rods to lift your natural lashes, making them appear longer and fuller. Lash lifts are a great alternative to eyelash extensions.
  • During the initial 24 hours after the lash lift treatment, avoid the following actions:
Avoid getting your eyelashes wet Refrain from applying mascara or eye makeup Avoid sweating Do not use a sauna Avoid using oil-based products Resist rubbing your eyes
  • how long do they usually last?
TheSculptBeauty eyelash extensions typically last as long as your natural lash cycle which is usually 4-6 weeks with proper maintenance and care . You should come in for a refill every 3-4 weeks to maintain the look.
  • Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
No, when applied correctly, lash extensions won't harm your natural lashes. Our experienced and certified lash artists at TheSculptBeauty prioritize the integrity of your natural lashes. They assess your natural lashes during the initial consultation to ensure the best extensions for your lashes and prevent damage or breakage.
  • What should I do before my lash appointment?
Thoroughly wash your eyes with oil-free face wash or eye makeup remover. Avoid wearing any eye makeup, but if you do, we have remover available. Don't curl your lashes before the appointment.
  • What are the eyelash extensions offered by TheSculptBeauty?
The Sculpt Beauty offers a range of high-quality eyelash extensions that give you long-lasting, natural looking lashes. Our semi-permanent eyelash extensions are applied individually to your existing lashes, creating a fuller and thicker look. We offer a variety of lash lengths, thicknesses, and styles, so you can customise your look. Each type of eyelash extension offers a unique look and feel, allowing you to express your individual style. All of our extensions are applied with a special adhesive to ensure a safe and comfortable application.
  • Can I wear makeup with my lashes?
YES! Although we don’t recommend wearing any mascara that isn't extension safe or oil based products, as it will shorten the life of your lash extensions.
  • How do I care for my lash extensions?
Avoid getting the lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours, including steam, tears, showering, swimming, and using eye makeup remover. Brush your lashes as needed, but not when they are wet. Avoid oil-based products and refrain from touching, playing with, or picking at your lashes. Don't use a lash curler on them.
  • How long does it take to apply TheSculptBeauty eyelash extensions?
TheSculptBeauty eyelash extensions take approximately 2-3 hours to apply. The exact time may vary depending on the type and number of extensions being applied.
